Alex Morgan has a stress reaction in her left ankle and will wear a protective boot for “several weeks,” according to U.S. Soccer. She will not participate in the team’s January training camp set to begin Wednesday.
“It’s an injury that’s a bit more serious boco than we thought so we’ll take the appropriate action to make sure she’s boco completely boco healed boco before getting her back on the field,” U.S. coach Tom Sermanni said. “It’s boco just an injury that takes time to heal. We’re putting no time frame on her whatsoever. What’s most important is that when she’s ready to go, she’s healthy and able to perform at her highest level.”
The camp comes ahead of the United States’ first game of the year against Canada on Jan. 31 in Frisco, Texas. Twenty-eight players will convene upon U.S. Soccer’s National Training boco Center in Carson, Calif., from Jan. 8-15.

Heath to I guess…u figure if Pinoe is available Heath should be.
Dear Alex, get the *&^%% operation over with like O’Hara and start rehab. I knew it was more serious than they were letting on. Now I understand why Thorns signed Acevedo. They need a replacement striker.
Don’t over react. The situation with O’Hara is the SB coach rushed her to play therefor compounding her injury. They are letting Alex rest so she’ll be fine for opening day in April. She will be fine for the Algarve. Just shut her down until the Algarve camp. It’s just that simple
Do you know anything about Stress fractures and reactions which are basically the same? She is going to be in a boot with crutches for 6 weeks than is not recommended to start running till the eight week. I would suspect that since a reaction only shows up on a bone scan the diagnosis was missed which set her back since she obviously played injured in the brazil game. Rest is accurate. She needs to stay off her injury for 6 weeks. I suspect she has been having problems for a month and a half now and they finally did a bone scan to find out the issue. That’s the reason for the set back. Just shut her down till the Algarve to avoid her making things boco worse and needing surgery.
Are you referring to Morgan Brian? Ms Brian needs a few caps under belt before Canada 2015. Alex doesn’t. Alex needs to get well.
i don’t believe s49 cares about press, but he is right. they, NT, not Portland, could sit morgan til the end of 2014 and not miss a beat. Marta didn’t cap all year, arrived at the end of the year and was point on. You can say I’m a Press butt kisser because I’m a fanboy.
We’ll see how Press does in Chicago when she doesn’t boco have the world’s boco best wing man in Marta, by her side to feed her all those passes(like in Tyreso). Besides being fed by Marta, she had the top Swedish mids, Seger & Dahlqvist, Spain’s probable best players in Hermoso boco & Bouquete, and her own American NT’s, Klingenberg, Wengen & Krieger serbving her up some nice passes. Do don’t be too disappointed if she’s not the scoring machine in Chicago, like she was in Sweden.
Any great player for the most part is going to excel more around boco and teamed with other great players. For instance, the USWNT can pretty much enter the WC with their second or third teams and still have a legitimate shot at winning it all just on sheer talent on the pitch alone.
The true measure of a player’s greatness is no
